Hinesville burglary suspects sought

HINESVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

Police are investigating a burglary at a Hinesville home that occurred Sunday night. 

It happened at about 10 p.m. Sunday at a home on Strickland Street.

Benjamin Young, 13, who lives at the home with his mother Yolanda Young. He said she was visiting friends while he was at a next door neighbor's house Sunday night.

Benjamin said he left to return home at about 9:20 p.m. and just before he got back, he saw two black males standing on his front porch. Young then ran to alert the neighbors with whom he had been staying with, but when he went back outside the two suspects were gone.

Benjamin then continued to head home, but when got inside, he saw the same two suspects he saw earlier now running out the back door. Benjamin said he chased them to his back fence.

The suspects several items including an Xbox 360 and games, name brand shoes and clothing including female undergarments, two old smart phones and some assorted cds.

Benjamin's mother returned home during the investigation and was informed about what had happened. She said the back door had been locked when they left their residence earlier.

Police responded to the robbery and used K-9s to search a wide area in an effort to find the suspects. They were not located.
