BROOKLET, GA (WTOC) -

On July 7, patrol deputies with the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office were notified of the theft of a pull behind grill from a residence in the 15000 block of US 80 E in Brooklet. Photos of the grill were then distributed and posted on Facebook.

On July 22, Pawn City of Statesboro staff contacted BCSO investigators and indicated that they believed a subject was trying to sell the grill at Pawn City. Authorities responded to the location and recovered the grill.

The individual attempting to sell the grill told police that he had received it in a trade from a subject living in Park Place Apartments on Lanier Drive in Statesboro.

Investigators then drove to Park Place Apartments and observed where the grill was previously located. They also found a stolen pull behind trailer taken from Kirby Texas at that apartment.

The occupants of the apartment, Loronzo Lanier Rogers, 35, and Tynisha Danielle Jones, 35, were arrested and charged with one count of felony theft by receiving stolen property and one count of felony theft by receiving property stolen in another state. Rogers and Jones are currently being held at the Bulloch County Jail pending further judicial action.
