SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Two dozen Savannah kids and teens will graduate from a week of summer camp Friday.

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept.'s Juvenile Officers Unit hosted the summer camp for 8 to 16 year olds where they heard from officers about violent crimes, bullying, leadership, conflict resolution and more.

Campers have also gone on field trips to the Chatham County Detention Center, the West Chatham Precinct and Frames and Games.

The graduation ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. at the SSU Student Union Center.

This is the first time SCMPD's Juvenile Officer Unit has sponsored this type of camp program.
