Legendary DJ David "Kidd" Kraddick passed away over the weekend while at his charity golf tournament for his "Kidd's Kids" Foundation. The foundation sends terminally ill children to Disney World. The cause of the death is unknown.

"Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" is a radio show that is broadcast to nearly 100 cities all across the nation, including right here in Savannah. At Clear Channel, in Garden City, the radio host of 97.3 KISS FM is dealing with the loss of Kraddick.

"People here knew so much about Kraddick because he opened up so much about his life on air. Now that he is gone people feel like they have lost a family member. He became a part of so many people's routine," said Thomas Deelo, program director for 97.3 KISS FM.

"Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" was broadcast every day of the week for years bringing joy to so many people's morning routine.

"His very last day was raising money for his charity, that is the kind of person he was," said Deelo.

Kraddick was 53 years old.
