SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who broke into the Isle of Hope United Methodist Church on Friday.

The area has two groups of neighborhood watches - one on each side of the island.

Police released surveillance video that shows how two men broke in to the church. The video shows the men wearing shorts and trying to cover their faces. It's a crime that has upset the church and the community.

"It made me really sad because I grew up in this church and on Isle of Hope and I'm raising my children here and in the churches. It just makes me sad that people would go into God's house and do horrible things," said Biza Mabry, a church member and neighbor.

The suspects not only broke into the church, but they stole church property. Mabry said received an email about the crime from the neighborhood watch group.

Mabry said each block has a captain who patrols the area.
