Armed robbery sought in Bluffton

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Bluffton police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robbery suspect. 

Police responded at about 11 p.m. to the Walgreens at 868 Fording Island Rd. on a report of an armed robbery. 

Police said a man wearing a mask came into the store, claimed to have a gun and demanded money and cigarettes. Other customers standing nearby confronted the robber and he took off. Before he left, the customers caused the suspect's mask to come off of his face. 

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect leaving the store.
