HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

People from Hilton Head Island and all over the Lowcountry gathered to discuss about the future of the Coligny district in HHI.

A public input meeting was held Tuesday evening to discuss big plans proposed for redeveloping city owned property at Coligny. Among the proposals are increased beach parking, more pedestrian & bike paths, and a public park.

"We've had a lot of imput so far leading up to the meeting, and a lot of people here tonight to share their concerns." said Jennifer Ray, urban designer.

Many people showed up at the meeting to hear what the designers have in mind, and also to share their own thoughts about changing the area.
