11 a.m. final forecast track for post-tropical cyclone Henriette
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
Forecasters at the Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu have downgraded Henriette to a post-tropical cyclone, saying it has now weakened to a remnant low south of the islands.
At 11 a.m., the remnants of Henriette were located about 485 miles south-southwest of Hilo and about 540 miles south of Honolulu. The remnant low pressure system had sustained winds of 35 miles per hour and was moving to the west at 22 miles per hour.
Forecasters predict that what's left Henriette will continue to weaken over the next day or two until it dissipates.
The Central Pacific Hurricane Center also said the Sunday 11 a.m. forecast advisory for Henriette will be the final one unless it regenerates.
