COLUMBIA, SC (WTOC) -

The jackpot for Saturday night's Powerball drawing has reached an estimated $290 million, with a cash payout of $168 million.

A couple in Bethune, SC, was only one number short of matching all the numbers to win the jackpot, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery. They won a $1 million prize this week.

Two tickets each worth $40,000 that remain unclaimed, were sold at the Oakbrook Express in Summerville and the Hot Spot in Easley, SC, for Wednesday night's drawing, according to the lottery.

Both tickets matched four white ball numbers and the red Powerball number .

The numbers are: 8, 24, 39, 49 and 59 PB: 5 with PowerPlay to win $40,000 when claimed.

South Carolinians must purchase Powerball tickets by 9:59 p.m. for Saturday's 10:59 p.m. drawing. Tickets are $2 and available wherever tickets are sold.

The odds of winning the jackpot are about 1 in 176 million.
