Police investigation closes part of downtown Savannah for 3 hours

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Metro police investigating a possible shooting in downtown Savannah Sunday night.

Police Haven't released much information at this time, but they were investigating in the area of 58th and Bull St.

Witnesses say the shooting started at 38th and Bull st. and ended at a house in the 100 block of 58th St.

Police had that area closed off for about 3 hours.

A witness, who did not want to be identified, said she saw a dead body inside of a green Buick parked in front of the house.

"I couldn't believe it. I just ran back inside the house," she said.

Police have not confirmed that there was a body in the car, or that there was a shooting.

But just the ideas of a shooting scars her. She says she's lived on 38th st. For three years and her house has been shot up four times.

She says Sundays shooting was enough.

"It calmed down for a while, but, yes we thinking about moving," said the witness.
