MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) -

A mother and daughter team working to forge checks in Moultrie are now in Police custody after officials say tips poured in after viewers saw their faces on WALB.com

Mary Cantrell, 58, and Jamie Walters, 30, are charged with multiple counts of fraud. They were taken into custody at their home on East Gate Circle.

On Thursday Moultrie Police asked for the public's help to find the two, releasing surveillance video and pictures.

Authorities say the two wrote checks from a stolen check book that belongs to an Albany based construction business. They are accused of using it to write more than a dozen checks at businesses all over Moultrie.

Officers say the women may have come across the checkbook after it was left behind in a storage facility.

The mother's history of similar crimes helped officers identify the suspects. More charges are expected to be filed.
