Gas prices decrease over past two weeks

Posted: Updated:

Gasoline prices fell nearly eight cents a gallon on average over the past two weeks.

The Lundberg Survey of 2,500 gas stations nationwide found the average price of regular gasoline rounds out to $3.60 a gallon.

Chicago and San Diego tied for the highest average price, where a gallon is going for $3.92. Charleston had the cheapest gas with an average cost of $3.27 a gallon.

Lundberg attributes the lower costs to an abundant supply and a cut in wholesale prices.
