BULLOCH CO., GA (WTOC) -

A Bulloch County man has been charged with failure to register as a sex offender following an investigation by the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies arrested Terry McCollum, 44, on Wednesday. McCollum was required to notify deputies of changes in his residence and employment based on a 2000 conviction in North Carolina for taking indecent liberties with a child.

McCollum recently changed both his address and employer without making any notification.

A tip by a concerned citizen initiated the investigation that resulted in McCollum's arrest. He is currently being held without bond in the Bulloch County Jail.

BCSO would like to remind citizens that they may view local sex offenders by using the Sheriff's Office website at www.bullochsheriff.com, or by using crimereports.com and searching Bulloch Bounty. Citizens who believe a sex offender is not in compliance with the registry requirements are encouraged to call 912.764.1787 or submit an anonymous tip to tips@bullochsheriff.com.
