WAYNE CO., GA (WTOC) - Residents in several counties hit hard with flooding are still trying to piece their belongings and homes back together.
Heavy rains and rising river water has damaged or affected almost 50 homes in coastal Georgia so far.
In Bulloch County 22 homes were damaged; 20 homes in Wayne County were affected and 7 homes in Bacon County were affected.
The American Red Cross still trying to offer assistance to flooding victims, but they say it may take so time.
There are two disaster relief locations open for flood victims who still need assistance.
Go to the Statesboro office of the Red Cross on Denmark Street or the 911 center on North Wayne Street in Jesup. You must bring some form of identification and proof of residency such as a utility bill, rent receipt or lease agreement.
