Bobby Cagle, commissioner of the Commissioner of Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, visited the pre-kindergarten classes at
Spencer Elementary School on Wednesday as part of a statewide tour of schools' pre-k
and school safety programs.
During his visit, Cagle was able to see how teachers are using new technology
to help young children learn.
"We saw some of the technology grants that we
provided to the schools and to the children care facilities providing pre-k are
being put into action," Cagle said. "iPads in every room. We found
those to be extremely successful helping children learn to read."
