SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects who stole a watch from a south side jewelry store Aug. 13.

Police said two men went into F.P. Wortley Jewelers in the 8100 block of Abercorn Street about 1:15 p.m. and asked to look at the watch. One suspect grabbed the watch and both of them ran out of the store. They left in silver Chevrolet Malibu with a South Carolina tag.

The suspects are tall, thin black males in their late teens or early 20s. The one who stole the watch was wearing a red shirt, green shorts and an orange hat. The other suspect was wearing a white buttoned short sleeve shirt, black pants and a University of Alabama hat.

The stolen watch is a gold and stainless Rolex with diamonds on the face instead of numerals.

Anyone with information on the case, the identity of either suspect or the location of the watch is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 912.234.2020 or text CRIMES (274637). Tipsters remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward.

A confidential tipline also is open directly to investigators at 912.525.3124.
