GLYNN CO., GA (WTOC) -

Investigators said four more people were sickened in Glynn County after smoking a synthetic drug that is laced with tobacco.

That brings the total to 12 who have become sick since Friday.

Investigators have seized all the inventory from Mary Jane's Emporium, a smoke shop in Brunswick after eight people were hospitalized Friday after smoking an herbal incense called Crazy Clown.

Glynn County Police Chief Matt Doering said four more people have been affected by this type of drug; seeing symptoms of intense vomiting, exhibiting violent behavior and difficulty breathing.

There is no word yet on where the latest people who fell ill got the drugs. Investigators say they used substances with names such as Black Lion, Original Shamrock, Super Premium New Formula 20x and Triple X.

The Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team said these are all brand names that mean the same thing.

"Often with these companies, what they will do is simply take some form of chemical which you the consumer has no idea what that make up is and they will spray the item with whatever that chemical is," said CNT agent Gene Harley.

If you see this type of drug in stores, be sure to contact the CNT at 912.652.3900.
