Gas prices on the rise ahead of holiday weekend

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

If you are traveling this Labor Day weekend, gasoline is getting a bit more expensive.

According to the auto club AAA, the average price of a gallon of gas rose by 1.8 cents overnight to $3.56. That's the biggest overnight increase in six weeks.

Gas is starting to track the rising price of oil, which reached a two-year high this week on fears of supply disruptions in the Middle East.
