Georgetown hit with power outage

CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

An underground cable is to blame for a power outage Wednesday afternoon in the Georgetown area.

John Kraft with Georgia Power said that the outage was caused by a problem with an underground cable.

The issue has been isolated and power is now being rerouted around the problem.

Power has been restored for most of the affected customers. There are about 150 customers still without power.
