College students learn dangers of distracted, drunk driving

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Students at Georgia Southern University got an eye opening look at the dangers of taking their eyes off the road.

The Arrive Alive Tour visited the campus Thursday to show students how impaired they can be if driving drunk or texting while driving. The simulator showed how hard it is to drive distracted, and how deadly it can be even just to send one text.

"It's just one text but you've taken your eyes off the road and that's when you can be in an accident and you could injure yourself or someone else," said Tyler Herbstreith, Arrive Alive Tour.

The simulator tour visits campuses all over the nation.
