Chevron employee describes moments after shooting

One of the employees at the Chevron off Dean Forest Road near U.S. Highway 80 described the horrifying moments after a man was shot in the gas station's parking lot. "I got scared for a little bit, but then i just started helping him out."

The employee told WTOC he called 911 immediately. He didn't want to be identified but said the injured man came inside for help.

"He just started running around the parking lot then he came into the store with his laptop and he was like "save this laptop and give it to the cops when they come in and just call 911," so I just called 911 for him."

According to Pooler Police it all started from a domestic dispute. One man was shot in the abdomen, two others involved were arrested shortly after along I-16 near the 516 exit. Police say all three are from Bryan County.

"It resulted in a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was transported by EMS. Obviously, we still have a ton of investigating to do. We'll have detectives tending to the victim at the hospital, and we'll be conducting further crime scenes," said Pooler Police Chief Mark Revenew.
