SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Chatham County Sheriff's Office says that Anitra Hicks, the woman facing murder charges in the death of her newborn baby, gave birth to her second baby last week.

Hicks, 19, is the woman charged with murder after a garbage truck crew found her newborn boy dead in the trash in December 2011.

In August, a judge ordered Hicks back to jail because the state felt Hicks violated the conditions of bond after she became pregnant while out on bond.

The judge said the conditions were laid out clearly, and now that she is pregnant, the situation has changed.

"The fact that she has become pregnant while on bond for an offense involving the death of her baby, I can't take the chance. There's another baby's life at stake here," the judge said.

Hicks gave birth to her second child sometime last week. Officials say the baby is healthy. Hicks returned to the jail on Saturday.

We are still working to find out whether it's a boy or a girl.
