St. Helena Island man arrested on drug charges

ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

A St. Helena Island man was arrested Tuesday on outstanding warrants and drug charges after a search of a home. 

Drug investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, Beaufort police and members of the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Erick Kadeem Blash, 23, on Tuesday. 

At about 1 p.m. Blash was reached at a home on Seaside Road in St. Helena Island. 

While taking Blash was taken into custody, authorities saw marijuana at the home, and a search warrant was obtained, according to the BCSO. 

A search turned up 1.634 grams of marijuana, MDMA, 0.1 grams of cocaine, 2.2 grams of MDMA, a handgun and drug paraphernalia, according to the BCSO. 

He was served with the outstanding bench and arrest warrants. He was charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, carrying a weapon into an alcohol establishment, bench warrant (receiving stolen goods), bench warrant (driving under suspension), bench warrant (simple possession marijuana), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute MDMA, possession of cocaine.
