Royal restaurant is showing their own way
of thanking those who risked their lives on 9/11.
Fat Pattie's is offering free burgers to all first
responders on Wednesday until closing time. This is the second year the
restaurant has made the offer.
By 2 p.m. Wednesday, Fat
Pattie's had already given away about 50 free burgers, most of which were to-go
orders. Managers say they are proud to serve those who serve the community.
"Beaufort, South Carolina
- this is patriot's USA right here. All the military, all the families,
everybody's related to something like this in this town," said Louis Skpowski,
general manager of Fat Patties.
The restaurant closes for the day at 10 p.m.,
but Skpowski said they will stay open as long as the orders keep coming in.
