A woman accused of starting a fire in a Walmart so she could leave the store with stolen items has been arrested and charged.
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police said Kena Young started at fire at about noon on Sept. 20 at the Walmart at 6000 Ogeechee Road so she could leave the store with stolen merchandise.
Police said tips to CrimeStoppers led to Young's arrest at 12:30 p.m. Monday at her workplace.
She is charged with first-degree arson, terroristic threats, giving false statements and shoplifting.
