It's a chance to make a sales pitch right to the man at the top at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort. Monday, the secretary of the Navy, Gordon Engle, is paying a visit to Marines and sailors with Navy Strike Fighter Squadron 83 and Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 251.
But with the next round of base closures scheduled for next year, this is a chance for Beaufort's Military Enhancement Committee to tell Beaufort's story to the secretary to keep the bases. We'll keep you posted on the visit.
