A top enlisted Marine at the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort is stepping down. Sgt. Maj. Michael Senecal handed over command to Sgt. Maj. Alexander McBride.
During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Senecal was honored for his dedication to the Marine Corps as he retires after 30 years of service. He says he's proud he served our nation.
"It's been one of the best things I've ever done, being a Marine," he said. "I couldn't have found an occupation I loved any more. It was a pleasure to serve."
The sergeant major says he and his family are planning to retire in the Low Country. We wish him the best and congratulate him for his service.
