Vigil held for Douglasville man killed in hit-and-run

DOUGLASVILLE, GA (CBS46) -

Family and friends gathered Wednesday night to remember Gary Latimer, who was killed in a hit-and-run in Douglasville.

"It's hard to say goodbye without knowing. Without us getting closure, none of us are going to be able to move on," said the victim's brother, Earnest Latimer.

The incident happened Saturday at Fairburn Road and Sunset Drive near I-20.

"We don't know what happened, but they do. The person that done this, the people that have done this boy, girl, whatever. You need to come forward and give us closure," Earnest Latimer said.

The car police are looking for may be a maroon 1997-1998 Buick Regal or Century. It will likely have a broken passenger side mirror and front end damage.
