Melanie Perez, the wife of Indians pitcher Chris Perez, has passed her drug test.

Melanie Perez pleaded no contest to a reduced city drug charge and was found guilty of a minor misdemeanor. She was fined $150 and will serve no time in jail.

This, after a package containing 5.7 ounces of marijuana was delivered to the Perez home in Rocky River in June. The package was sent from California and addressed to the family dog.

Investigators say Chris Perez took them to his stash and admitted it was his marijuana.

Chris Perez has since been sentenced on the drug charges - a $250 fine and no jail time. He was also placed on community supervision for one year, he has to complete MLB drug program and was also ordered to present a speech to Rocky River High School students about dangers of drugs.
