Benedictine's senior cadets, 64 in all, took their commission oath Saturday night as part of the JROTC ceremony.
"It means a lot," said cadet John Solitario. "It's been a long three years in the program and culminates in this commissioning ceremony.
But that commission also brings responsibilities for the remainder of their 12th grade year.
"On this night, they realize they're the leaders in this school and leaders in the JROTC program," explained BC principal Dr. Debra Antosca.
The principal said program is ranked among the top 20 percent in the nation.
