Guardians of Rescue is giving hundreds of dogs a second chance.
The organization has taken all of the dogs at the animal shelter on Fort Stewart. They are training them to be service dogs to help veterans suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.
"Knowing that that animal is safe and is being placed with another veteran to help. It's very rewarding, very special," says Robert Misseri, president of Guardians of Rescue.
On Saturday more than 400 other dogs will be taken from the Hinesville area to new Furr-Ever Homes, foster homes or no kill shelters.
