BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

Police are trying to track down two gunmen who robbed an Auto Zone store in Beaufort Sunday.

Authorities say the masked men walked in just before closing time around 9 p.m. and forced two employees into a back room as they robbed the store located on Boundary Street. A customer walked in and was also forced into the back room with the others and all three victims were then held captive until the robbers fled.

After the suspects fled, an employee was able to call 911. Officers with the Beaufort Police Department arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area with the help of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, but the suspects were not located.

The suspects were described by witnesses as two black males possibly in their twenties. One was wearing a light shirt and pants while the other had on red shorts and a black t-shirt. Both were of medium height and armed with handguns.
