Detectives still seek information on assault on 71-year-old woman

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Violent Crimes detectives are still seeking information on two males that attacked a 71-year-old woman in her Jones Street garage on Aug. 9.

The woman parked in the 100 block of East Street at 10:30 p.m. when two males physically assaulted her and stole her car.

She was seriously injured. The suspects were described as young black males.

Her car, a white 2008 Lexus, was abandoned in the 800 block of Waters Avenue near East Gwinnet Street with her purse and the contents of the car missing.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Robbery Detectives are asking for anyone in either area with information to please contact them. A confidential tip line is open directly to investigators at 912.234.2020.
