SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah AMBUCS held their second annual Bowlapalooza to raise money for local differently-able child and adults aspiring for independence.

30 local celebrities bowled along side Savannah AMBUCS members.  The money raised from this year's bowlapalooza will buy amtrykes for disabled children and military veterans. Kevin Sheehan, the president of the Savannah Chapter of AMBUCS explains what the event means for the organization.

"It means a lot of great things and a lot of awareness, we've raised a lot of money, a lot of happiness. Our differently abled bowlers are really excited to get to meet some of the celebrities they don't normally get to meet. So everybody is just having a good time and a lot of fun," said Sheehan.

Our very own Mike Cihla and Don Logana were two of the local celebrities that participated in Bowlapalooza this year.

Team WTOC raised $5768 so far. The entire Bowlapalooza event with 30 celebrity bowlers raised $57,000.
