Good music, friends, and family all coming together to support Savannah musician and shooting victim.
Several bands played at Muse Art Warehouse today in a benefit concert for Jason Statts.
More then five years ago, Statts was shot point blank in the neck in Ardsley park and suffered irreparable damage to his spinal column. Since then, he has relied on government assistance to cover his mounting medical costs.
"It is such an awful accident that happened to Jason. it could happen to any of us. Savannah rallies around Jason and we can't forget that he is there and needs our help all the time." said Emily Doherty.
There was also a silent auction and a live painting. They hope to raise $20,000.
