SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

A Savannah-Chatham Metro Police officer was arrested Wednesday in connection with a domestic dispute.

Julian Miller, public affairs administrator with SCMPD, said officer Chassity Johanson got into a fight with her husband Tuesday morning and police were called. He said Johanson was determined to be the aggressor toward her husband.

Johanson's bond was posted at $1,850 on charges of simple battery. She has been placed on administrative leave as police continue their investigation into the incident.

She has been with the West Chatham Precinct as a patrol officer for the last two years.
