Zombie run, tricks and treats kick off Halloween fun

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two Albany attractions are getting ready for some fun Halloween events this weekend.

The Flint RiverQuarium and Thronateeska Heritage Center will present tricks and treats Friday from 5p.m. to 8 p.m. Kids can enjoy games and a candy path of treats. Divers at the RiverQuarium will put on a show carving pumpkins underwater at 6 p.m.

"Being that you're able to go to the Flint RiverQuarium as well as Thronateeska and be able to go through a candy path, you know it just different things that we have," said Sherrell Lamar, Flint RiverQuarium Guest Services Manager.

The RiverQuarium is also sponsoring the second annual River Zombies 5K run and obstacle course Saturday at 3 p.m.

This year's run will be held at the former First Tee Golf Course area behind the civic center.
