SANDUSKY, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The trial for Curtis Clinton, the man accused of killing a Sandusky woman and her two children, began Monday with jury selection.
The 42-year-old is accused of strangling to death 23-year-old Heather Jackson, along with her 3-year-old and 18-month-old in their Sandusky home back in September 2012.
Clinton is also charged with raping Jackson's 3-year-old daughter, Celina, as well as a 17-year-old Clyde girl the week before the homicides.
He could face the death penalty. However, Jackson's family says they would like Clinton to be offered a plea deal for life in prison without parole, in order to avoid a lengthy trial. According to the attorney, he considered the family's request, but decided to proceed with the trial.
