Two men arrested on drug charges in Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Drug Investigations officers arrested Daulton Young, 30, and Charles Miller, 28, on drug charges Thursay.

Investigators received information over the course of a month that the residence at 26 Great Barracusda Ln. in Hilton Head Island was being used to sell and distribute illegal drugs.

During the investigation, controlled purchases of illegal drugs were conducted from the residence, which resulted in investigators obtaining a search warrant.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. Thursday, officers executed the search warrant. Young, a female subject and four children were at the location at the time the warrant was executed. The children were released to a relative.

Crack cocaine, marijuana and scheduled pills were located at the scene.

Miller returned to the residence while the warrant was being executed and was arrested for the crack cocaine and the controlled pills, while Young was arrested the marijuana that was found.

Young was charged with simple possession of marijuana. Miller was charged possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine within half a mile of a park and possession of a schedule II controlled substance.

Officers seized approximately two grams of crack cocaine, one gram of marijuana and eight tablets of Hydrocodone at the scene.
