FBI, SCMPD seek suspect for Sea Island Bank robbery

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

FBI, with the aid of SCMPD, are investigating  bank robbery that occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. at the Sea Island Bank at 7426 Hodgson Memorial Dr. in Savannah.

Investigators say a heavy-set black male with dark brown eyes believed to be in his 40's or 50's entered the bank and handed a note to the teller. He left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is approximately 5'9, wearing a black bubble jacket and a red cap.

Also, there is a house on Varn Street, about two miles from the bank, off of DeRenne Avenue that is also connected to the crime. FBI are investigating that scene as well.
