Four teens arrested on armed robbery charges

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

Four teens have been arrested in Beaufort in connection with the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in October.

Darin Lee Peeks, Aki Daron Franklin, Donald James Franklin, II and Robert Lee Green Jr. have been arrested in connection with the Oct. 16 armed robbery of a Papa John's Pizza employee. All of the teens are 18 years old.

The victim was delivering an order to 2 Needles Rd. just after 9:30 p.m. when he was ambushed by four males wearing dark clothing.

The suspects reportedly placed the order by phone and then waited in the woods nearby.

When the victim walked down the driveway, the suspects approached him, put a handgun in his face, and demaded he hand over everything he had.

The victim complied, giving the suspects the food, his wallet and his cell phone. The suspects then fled the area, leaving the victim unharmed.

The investigation continues and more charges may be pending.
