Serial Rapist Update

With no recent attacks, police worry that many women will let their guard down. The serial rapist is still wanted in connection with five different rapes that happened in Chatham and Bryan Counties.

Police say a woman was raped on July 26 on Davidson Avenue near the Savannah-Hilton Head Airport.

On August 31, another woman was assaulted on Savannah's south side from Magnolia Villa Apartments.

On September 2, police say he abducted and raped a woman at Edgewater Trace Apartments.

And on September 14 another woman was raped on 36th Street near Ogeechee Road.

The last reported attack happened on September 18 at Plantation Apartments in Richmond Hill.

Spokesman from the Savannah Chatham Metropolitan Police Department Bucky Burnsed told WTOC the police are still on high alert. "We're continuing to get leads but at this point we don't have any other cases pointing toward this particular suspect and in that case, we'd say no news is good news. We are still very much looking for this suspect and anyone that might recognize him please don't hesitate to call us. It's not to late we're not tired of taking tips, we definitely want to find out who this guy is."

If anyone knows anything about this suspect, CrimeStoppers is taking calls at 234-2020.
