We have an update to a story we've been following on Screven County sheriff Mike Kile. The Georgia Sheriff's Association has asked Gov. Sonny Perdue to investigate the sheriff's office.

Former inmates have accused Kile of illegally paying them to work at his home and allowing them to work on other private properties. The sheriff has claimed the practice helps inmates and the community.

The charges are already under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
