Families that can't afford a Thanksgiving turkey can get a free one thanks to The Brown Family Foundation.

The Annual James Brown Turkey Giveaway is set for Nov. 25 at Dyess Park on James Brown Boulevard.

To receive a free turkey, families need to register. The last day to register is Saturday. Families must bring a valid state-issued ID and a utility bill for proof of address to Dyess Park between 9 and 11 a.m.

The Turkey Giveaway will start at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 25.
