Prescription Drug Help for Georgians

Want low-cost prescription drugs? A new program in Georgia is aiming to do just that. Today, Georgia Cares of Savannah and almost 25 other health organizations announced their support for the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. It's a new initiative that could bring free and nearly free medicines to Georgians in need.

"We have an 888 number which will allow people who are helping seniors get on the phone and very quickly find out what programs they can get access to to get free medicines," said the group's Brian Eldman.

The number is 1-888-4-PPA-NOW.
