SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Hundreds spent their Friday waiting for a masterful cure for cancer, specifically raising money for the Anderson Cancer Center at Memorial Health.

Table hosts dressed up as masters from literature and sports, then collected tips from guests.

Reed Dulany, a cancer survivor, talked about his search for the best treatment in the country when he was diagnosed with throat cancer several years ago.

"There's still quite an opportunity for people who want to make a donation to the Anderson Cancer Center, so please just reach out to the foundation," Dulaney said. " We would be happy to receive your money if you were unable to attend today."

Sonny Dixon served as the emcee and auctioneer.

More than $12 million dollars have been raised in the last twelve years with Waiting on a Cure.
