SCCPSS to hold public meetings on attendance zone changes

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

In anticipation of the construction of a new K through eighth grade school in northern Port Wentworth and because of the extensive residential growth in the area, the school district is working to determine the most effective attendance zone changes that will ensure the best use of existing facilities.

There will be a public meeting Monday in Pooler about the proposed school zones. It will be from 6 to 8 p.m. at Godley Station K-8, on Benton Blvd in Pooler.

Input will also be gathered during planned community meetings, which are scheduled from 6 - 8 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Nov. 19 – Port Wentworth Elementary, 507 South Coastal Hwy
  • Nov. 21 – Mercer Middle School, 201 Rommel Avenue.

The complete proposal for the West Side attendance zone changes can be found online at www.sccpss.com.
