Director reacts to Boys and Girls Club burglaries

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Mike Jones pointed to the glass front door that has been the entry point for burglars twice this fall.

Security video shows the crooks breaking the glass at the Boys & Girls Club of Bulloch County.

In three burglaries, thieves have stolen a laptop, video game consoles and $25 from the concession stand fund. Jones points to the crooks' apparent familiarity with the club as a point of frustration.

"They seem like they know where they're going and they seem to know we have video cameras because they all have hats or hoodies to cover themselves," he notes.

Jones told WTOC the club replaced the doors with unbreakable glass after the most recent buglary last week.

The club has offered a $250 reward for information in any of the burglaries, but some local businesses have offered contributions to raise that amount.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Statesboro Police at 912.764.9911.
