Man sought in Statesboro armed robbery

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Statesboro police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday night in the parking lot of Vista View Apartments on Vista Circle in Statesboro.

It happened at about 6:10 p.m. Nov. 21. The victim immediately filed a report at the police station.

The victim told police he was at the apartments to visit a friend and was confronted by a man carrying a handgun. Police said a black male pointed the handgun at the victim and demanded money. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and walked toward South College Street.

Police said they have identified the man and arrest warrants have been issued for 28-year-old Curtis Marco Evans, of Jenkins County. He's charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and obstruction of police officers.
