Statesboro police seek man in apartment complex armed robbery

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

The Statesboro Police Dept. is currently investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Avenue at Southern Apartment Complex on Georgia Avenue in Statesboro.

The incident occurred on Nov. 21 at approximately 9:49 p.m.

According to the victims, 3 uknown black males entered the apartment with firearms and demanded money.

The victims were held at gunpoint and the suspects took several electronic items, money, shoes and a firearm from the residence.

The suspects then fled the apartment complex in a white Chevrolet Impala.

Two of the victims received minor injuries after being struck by the suspects.

They were self-treated at the scene and did not require medical personnel to respond.

Further investigation into the incident has resulted in the identification of one of the suspects.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Bradley Javon Edwards, 23, of Statesboro charging him with armed robbery.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Edwards is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at 912.764.9911. Det. Kevin Wadley has been assigned as the lead Detective on this case.
